Teacher Scholarships

Each year in January, Yad Vashem, the International School for Holocaust Studies in Jerusalem, conducts a Seminar on the Holocaust for English speaking educators.  It is an intensive 3-week program of about 140 hours, with lectures, group discussions, films and survivor testimony. Several field excursions are also included.  Pedagogic workshops will be given throughout the course for primary, middle level or high school teachers. Participants will be able to access the wide range of materials located in its Archives and the Resource Centre.

Unit Raoul Wallenberg of B’nai B’rith provides ‘The Pauline Glass’ scholarships for teachers to participate in this program.  Scholarships will include an economy return fare to Israel, tuition fees, shared accommodation at a nominated hotel, and a modest allowance for food and daily expenses.  Any expenses incurred for additional travel or further time spent in Israel will not be covered.
